Atlanta's top scorer is trending toward the WNBA Finals.

Allisha Gray was a full participant in Friday's practice in San Francisco. She said she felt good but the Dream will wait to see how her hand responds to pace and intensity before Saturday's Game 1 against the Valkyries. Tip-off is at 2:30 p.m. Central at Chase Center. She could be a game-time decision.

The finger

Gray hurt her left ring finger in Game 1 of the semifinals against the New York Liberty and missed the last two games of the sweep. She recently had a minor procedure she said was necessary to have a chance at playing in the Finals. Her ring and pinkie fingers were taped together at practice Thursday.

"I feel good. Been taking it day by day. Progress has been well. Long as I can shoot I'm good," Gray said Thursday. "So hopefully I get some good news where I am able to play Saturday."

Plans both ways

Coach Karl Smesko said the Dream have game plans with and without her. DeWanna Bonner is affected the most. "It's trending in the right direction and we hope that she's out there for sure," he said.

What she has done

The four-time All-Star averaged 19.0 points this season while playing all 44 games. She has averaged 17 points and two steals in three playoff games.
