Holidays and the plans you add

The calendar opens on the month you are in and on Dallas. Public holidays and civic dates are listed so you can see Thanksgiving, Veterans Day, Election Day, Día de los Muertos and the rest without hunting through a dozen sites.

Add is for your own plans. A title and a date are enough. Those events stay on this device so you can see them on the month and under My events. They are not published to other members.

Holiday stories from the newsroom sit under the dates. They are news, not a promise that a parade or a ticketed show is happening on a given street.

• Filter by Faith, Family, Civic or Music to shorten the list.
• Add a plan with a title and a date.
• Open My events to see only what you saved.

No. Holidays are on the public page. Saving your own events uses this device.
